Dictionary: Administrative Level Detail

This document introduces a table that outlines the primary administrative divisions for various countries and territories around the world, which plays a crucial role in our POI Data Packs product.

In our POI Data Packs, the administrative level of a country determines the granularity of the data available. Depending on the administrative level specified in the table, some fields in our Rich Attributes file will be empty. This is particularly relevant for fields such as country, state, county, and city.

The following table is structured into two columns: Country and Detail.

Country column lists various countries and territories, while the Detail column specifies their last administrative division, categorised as city, county, state, or country. Please note that the following table may not include all available countries. If you need a country that is not listed, please contact us here.
